BAN vs AUS: Bangladesh, Australia teams to start their practice sessions today ahead of T20I series: Bangladesh and Australia both arrived in Dhaka on Thursday after completing their respective away series and entered the bio-secure bubble. After undergoing mandatory 3-day quarantine at a hotel in Dhaka, players of both the teams will resume their practice sessions starting from today. The two contingents will commence their practice drills at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium and the National Cricket Academy in Mirpur today. This means that before the opening- first T20I clash on August 3 (Tuesday), Bangladesh and Australia, the two teams will get just two training sessions- today (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday).
As per ‘The Daily Janakantha’ reports, as the teams will kick off with their first training sessions, the Bangladesh team will practice at the main ground of Sher-e-Bangla and indoor-outdoor from 10 am. On the other hand, the visiting team- Australia will practice at the National Academy and the main ground of Sher-e-Bangla from 4 pm.
The reports furthered that prior to hitting the training drills, it is imperative for all the players, coaches and supporting staff of both the teams to submit their negative certificate in the second round of corona test. Everyone gave samples of Corona test for another round on Saturday. The ones who would be tested negative will be given a green signal to enter the field.
