Australia tour of Bangladesh- BAN vs AUS 3rd T20: 5 changes Australia need to make to keep series alive ft, Andrew Tye, Daniel Christian- Australia face the threat of humiliation as they prepare to face off against Bangladesh in the third game of their five-match T20 series. Having lost both their games so far, Matthew Wade and Co. will hope to turn their tide and keep their hopes alive, when they take the field at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

With the series on the line, here are five things Australia need to rectify to return to winning ways.

1. Return of Ben McDermott at the top

With Josh Philippe and Alex Carey struggling to score runs during the Australia tour of Bangladesh, Ben McDermott should get a nod into the side at the top of their order for the BAN vs AUS 3rd T20. McDermott had missed a chunk of games during the tour of West Indies due to injury, but the Hurricanes star should be in the XI, with the series on the line.

2. Inclusion of extra spinner in Mitchell Swepson

The pitch at Shere Bangla National Stadium during the Australia tour of Banglades has aided spin and Matthew Wade could deploy an extra spinner in Mitchell Swepson. Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa have done little to trouble the Bangladeshi batsmen, and the addition of an extra spinner could aid the Australians in putting pressure on their opponents in the BAN vs AUS 3rd T20.

3. Andrew Tye, Riley Meredith into the XI

The indication before the Australia tour of Bangladesh was that all players involved were likely to get a piece of the action during the five games. With an unchanged XI playing the first two games, rotation is expected for the BAN vs AUS 3rd T20, especially in the fast bowling department which could see the return of Andrew Tye into the side. Tye is well known for his variations and the slow pitches could bring the best out of him, while Meredith could make up for the lack of pace if Starc sits out.

4. Dan Christian returns in place of Ashton Turner

The experience of Daniel Christian could come in handy for Australia as they look to mount a comeback against Bangladesh and keep the series alive. With Ashton Turner failing to make his mark so far, Christian could offer much-needed depth in batting while also chipping in effectively with the ball in hand.

5. Matthew Wade at the top

Matthew Wade has been batting in the middle order considering Australia’s T20 World Cup plans, but the stand-in skipper could return to the top aid his side. Australia have failed to make the most of the powerplay with Alex Carey and Josh Philipe both struggling to score consistently and quickly, meaning Wade could take up that slot and add impetus to the scoring.
