BAN vs AFG LIVE Streaming: Bangladesh will play host to Afghanistan in a one-off Test beginning on Wednesday, June 14 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. The two teams will square off in two phases: a lone Test on June 14 and six white-ball matches in July. Next month, Afghanistan will play three ODIs and two T20Is as part of their visit. Afghanistan has played six Tests so far and has won three of them, including the most recent one against Zimbabwe.
In place of Shakib Al Hasan, who is injured, wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das will captain a 15-man Bangladesh team that also includes Shahadat Hossain and Musfik Hasan, who have no international experience. Premier spinner Rashid Khan will not be available for Afghanistan, while Hashmatullah Shahidi’s team will also be missing Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Naveen Ul Haq, and Mohammed Nabi.
This will only be their second Test match. Even though it was just Afghanistan’s third Test match in history, they won the first one played in 2019 at Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium by a huge margin of 224 runs. Rashid has been given a rest due to an injury, and former captain Asghar Afghan has decided to retire from international cricket, so several of the stars of that victorious Afghanistan team won’t be joining the travelling group this time.
