BAN Playing XI vs SL: Can Soumya Sarkar return in Playing XI as Bangladesh eye beginning Super 12 with a win?
Will Liton Das get another go against Sri Lanka? The right-hand opener Liton Das has two single digits scores in the three games he has played so far in the qualifying round. Barring 29 off 23 against Papua New Guinea in the final fixture, Liton Das has scores of 6 & 5 against Oman and Scotland. Bangladesh hasn’t managed to get through the powerplay without losing a wicket in all three games so far. Going against some quality bowling attack of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will need to get a solid start.
Liton Das in three innings so far:
- 29 runs vs PNG
- 6 runs vs Oman
- 5 runs vs Scotland
Soumya Sarkar, who had a decent outing in the warmup games, opened the innings with Liton Das against Scotland in the opening game. However, Sarkar only managed 5 off 5 in the game. The inclusion of Sarkar also gives Bangladesh an extra bowling option.
Bangladesh Probable playing XI vs SL:
