Back to form! Shafali Verma hits second consecutive 50 in RCB W vs DC W match

Shafali is now the second-highest run scorer of the 2024 season. She also holds the record for getting the most sixes in WPL history.

After an extending poor run of play in international cricket, Shafali Verma has stormed back into form with her second consecutive fifty for the Delhi Capitals. Playing in her third WPL 2024 match, the swashbuckling opener smocked a 31-ball 50 to put her team in the front.

Verma hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in his destructive innings to take her side to 110 runs of just 12 overs. After smashing the UP Warriorz in her last match, Shafali Verma has struck yet another fifty.

Having already won the last match due to her 43-ball 64 unbeaten knock, the Capitals have a chance to move to the top of the WPL 2024 Points Table with a win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore today.

After her four sixes, Verma has become the player with the most sixes to her name in Women’s Premier League history and also the second-highest run-getter of the ongoing 2024 season.
