MS Dhoni to use lighter bats for IPL 2025

Dhoni, who has been a cornerstone of CSK since the inception of the IPL, is known for his calm demeanor, sharp cricketing acumen, and powerful batting. Over the years, he has led CSK to multiple IPL titles, making the team one of the most successful franchises in the league’s history. His leadership and on-field strategies have earned him the nickname “Captain Cool.”

This season, Dhoni is expected to use a slightly lighter bat, a change that has garnered significant attention. Traditionally, Dhoni has used heavier bats, weighing around 1250 to 1300 grams, to deliver his signature powerful strokes. However, for IPL 2025, he has opted for bats weighing approximately 1230 grams. This adjustment is seen as a strategic move to enhance his performance and adapt to the demands of the game at the age of 43.

As the IPL 2025 season approaches, CSK fans are filled with excitement and anticipation. Dhoni’s presence and potential final season add an emotional element to the campaign, making it a must-watch for cricket lovers. The prospect of seeing Dhoni play for CSK once again, possibly for the last time, is sure to draw massive crowds and viewership, as fans rally behind their beloved “Thala.”
