Babar vs Kohli ahead of PSL vs IPL: Race against time for ducks in T20 between the two

Kohli vs Babar—two legends, one unwanted record. As IPL and PSL unfold, who will end up with more T20 ducks.

The IPL 2025 season has begun, and Virat Kohli is once again playing for Royal Challengers Bangaluru. He will be aiming to set new records while striving to bring out the best version of himself in franchise cricket, following his retirement from international T20s. Just as Kohli enjoys immense fanfare in India, Babar Azam holds a similar level of admiration among Pakistani fans. Fans are also eager to see him perform in the PSL, which is set to begin on April 11.

However, there is one record that both cricketers would prefer to avoid but find themselves close to more ducks in T20 cricket.

Who leads in this unwanted race?

While Virat Kohli has regained his form, Babar Azam is currently struggling. Looking at their T20 statistics, Kohli has played 383 innings, and on 18 occasions, he has been dismissed for a duck. On the other hand, Babar Azam has played 310 matches, batting in 299 innings, and has been dismissed for a duck 19 times. Rashid Khan holds the record with 47 ducks, but it will be interesting to see who will win between Kohli and Babar.
