Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi reveals that he always tried to keep Shaheen Afridi away from captaincy. The ex-all rounder’s remarks come after his son-in-law was replaced as the side’s white-ball skipper with Babar Azam. Afridi advises Shaheen to focus on his cricket instead of leaning towards leading the side.
Shahid Afridi wants Shaheen to focus on cricket, not captaincy
“I want Shaheen to focus on his own cricket. I always tried to keep Shaheen away from captaincy,” Shahid Afridi told Geo News.
Earlier, sources told AFP that a picture released by PCB showed ex-skipper Shaheen Afridi shaking hands with chief Mohsin Naqvi. The report claims that this action removes any confusion over Afridi’s denial to the earlier statement made by the PCB.
