Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam became a trending topic on social media but this time, not for his on-field tactics. The Pakistan skipper was stopped by Excise officers in Lahore on Friday for alleged traffic rule violations. The officers noticed that the numbers on Babar’s car’s license plate were small, failing to comply with government regulations on standard size. As a result, Babar was asked to replace the number plate. Follow Cricket Live Updates with InsideSport.IN
During the encounter, the officers also verified Babar’s documentation, including his vehicle’s registration and tax compliance. After the formalities concluded, the officers took selfies with the cricket star, which later went viral on social media platforms.
On the cricketing front, Babar Azam recently made a successful comeback to Pakistan’s squad for the white-ball series against New Zealand at home. The Men in Green secured a 4-1 victory over the Kiwis in the ODI series under the leadership of Babar. The star batter led from the front as he amassed 276 runs in five matches.
