Babar Azam-led Pakistan have landed in India for the World Cup 2023. This is Pakistan cricket team’s first visit to India in 7 years. The Men in Green landed in Hyderabad at 8 PM IST on Wednesday. Pakistan kick off the World Cup by playing against the Netherlands on October 6 in Hyderabad. They will play one more game in Hyderabad against Sri Lanka on October 10, before departing to Ahmedabad to play India on October 14.
Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Boar Chief, Zaka Ashraf told the media that BCCI has assured of providing high security to all 10 teams participationg in World Cup.
“The BCCI has assured the ICC that all teams will be provided the best security and will be well looked after so I don’t expect anything different for our team. I don’t think our team will face any issues in India,” PCB Chief told reporters before team’s departure.
Before the World Cup, Pakistan were last seen in the Asia Cup. The Babar Azam-led side had a horrible outing in the Continental Cup as they failed to reach the semi-final. However, before they play Netherlands in their first WC game, Pakistan will play two warm-up games. In those two matches, the Men in Green would be keen to do well with bat and ball.

Pakistan Cricket Team: Babar Azam & Co aim to fix combinations before WC warm-up games
The World Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, the warm-up matches of the tournament will begin on September 29. Pakistan will play New Zealand in the first warm-up on Sep 29 in Hyderabad. However, the game will take place behind closed doors due to security reasons.
In these two warm-up matches, Pakistan would be keen to field their strongest playing XI.
