Pakistan cricket team batter Babar Azam’s miserable form in the longest format of the game continued with his cheap dismissal in PAK vs BAN 2nd Test. After departing for a duck in the 1st innings, the former skipper only managed to score 11 runs before walking back to the pavilion. Pakistan find themselves in a precarious position on Day 4, with the side losing four wickets in the first session of the day’s play.
Babar Azam fails yet again!
Babar Azam fell victim to Nahid Rana in the 19th over as Shadnam Islam completed a brilliant catch in the slips. The dismissal meant Azam’s wait for a half-century in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle has been extended. The former skipper failed to fire in the 1st Test as well where Pakistan were handed a historic defeat, thanks to the Bangladesh spinners.

Babar Azam’s Test record since January 2023
Babar Azam hasn’t scored a half-century in the last 20 months. He scored 161 against New Zealand in December 2022, and since then, his highest score is 41. You don’t expect your best player to average 21. Granted, he has played just 9 Tests, but that isn’t a short period.
