Babar Azam & Co. might not be best-prepared for IND vs PAK clash at Nassau County Stadium

IND vs PAK: While India has gotten a taste of the Nassau County Stadium, Pakistan would be clueless about the conditions.

A lot has already been said and done about the failure of Pakistan, in the PAK vs USA match on Thursday in Dallas. Now, they do have a chance of redemption against India in New York on June 9. But it seems the odds are heavily stacked against them. The Nassau County stadium, the venue for the IND vs PAK match is undergoing works for improvement in pitch.

No Practice for Pakistan at Nassau County

Even though no official complaint has been lodged by the teams playing there, it is certain that the Nassau County isn’t fit for play as of yet. After the IND vs IRE match, Rohit Sharma was hit on the arm, while Harry Tector was hit on the helmet by Jasprit Bumrah. Taking all the developments into account, ICC swung into action to make pitch playable.

ICC had said, “T20 Inc and the ICC recognise that the pitches used so far at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium have not played as consistently as we would have all wanted. The world-class grounds team have been working hard since the conclusion of yesterday’s game to remedy the situation and deliver the best possible surfaces for the remaining matches.”
