Pakistan skipper Babar Azam attended he wedding ceremony of his teammate Shaheen Afridi on September 19 (Tuesday). In a series of photos going viral on the social media platforms, Shaheen alongside Babar were seen enjoying their time as the rumours of rift between the duo were put to bed atleast for now.
After their exit from the Asia Cup, several reports had emerged suggesting that Babar was schooling seniors for not fulfilling their responsibilities during the marquee event. However, the left-arm pacer Afridi interrupted and asked Babar not to generalise and at least praise those who did well.
The Pakistani skipper did not like the interruption and hit back at the express pacer stating that he was aware who was performing and who not. Babar did not opt to speak to anyone after that and stayed silent throughout the bus journey from Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium to the team hotel.
However, Shaheen quashed all the rumours and posted a picture with skipper on Tuesday. In a picture posted by Afridi, the left-arm pacer wrote ‘family’ with a heart emoji.
Shaheen to replace Shadab as vice-captain of Pakistan?

Pakistan will play warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand in Hyderabad ahead of the main event. The Men in Green will want to put on a good effort with both and the ball in the upcoming event and try to win an ICC trophy which has been missing in their cabinet since 2017.
