Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has extended an invitation to the Pakistan cricket team for an iftar gathering scheduled to take place on April 7 in Rawalpindi. The gesture comes as a testament to the strong camaraderie between the military and the nation’s cricketing stars.
Currently, the national cricket team is diligently engaged in a rigorous fitness camp situated in Kakul, Abbottabad. Under the watchful guidance of trainers at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT), players are immersed in a comprehensive program encompassing various training modules and gym exercises to enhance their physical prowess.

As per reports, the Kakul training camp for the Pakistani players were scheduled to finish on April 8. However, with the players now being invited for Iftar on April 7 in Rawalpindi, the training camp might get wrapped up prematurely.
Pakistan to host New Zealand for 5 T20Is from April 18
In what is a much-anticipated series, Pakistan are set to host New Zealand for five T20Is as the buildup to the T20 World Cup 2024 continues. New Zealand will arrive in Pakistan on April 14, 4 days ahead of the series, which will be played from 18 to 27.
Earlier this year, Pakistan toured New Zealand for a 5-match T20I series which they lost 4-1. As for the upcoming T20I series, the first three games will be hosted by the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, while the last two matches are scheduled to take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
