India returned to the field after more than a month’s break and continued their tradition of dominating at home. Led by Ravichandran Ashwin’s impeccable all-round show, Team India recorded a huge 280-run in the opening Test against Bangladesh. However, this win came despite some underperformance of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The two pillars of Indian cricket scored a combined total of 34 runs.

(It is not necessary that both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have to share the burden of this nation, or to make runs and win India all the matches. It (poor scores) happens in one or two games. Why are we focusing on them only? There are other players as well. The team combination of the Indian team is great and all are playing as one unit. It is more like a family.),” said Praveen Kumar, exclusively to Insidesport.
Well, there’s nothing wrong with what Praveen said about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Yes, they did miss out on run-making in the Chennai Test but we have to cut some slack on the two players, who are undoubtedly two of the best. No player can make runs in all the games. Moreover, Rohit was undone when the new ball was moving rapidly, while Kohli incidentally gave himself out in the third innings of the match.

Praveen Kumar in Legends League Cricket
Praveen Kumar had a brief discussion with our correspondent Akshit Vedyan, on the sidelines of the Legends League Cricket (LLC). The third edition of the tournament is going on full flow, with Praveen being the bowling coach of the Manipal Tigers. The Tigers are the current defending champions but lost their opening game against the Konark Suryas Odisha.
