17-year-old Ayush Mhatre has earned a call-up to the India U-19 side for the U19 Asia Cup. The Mumbai batter has reaped the reward for his phenomenal form in domestic cricket in the recent past. As per reports, Ayush Mhatre earned himself a trial for CSK ahead of IPL 2025 auction.
Ayush Mhatre gets maiden India call-up
Ayush Mhatre already has one hundred and fifty in five matches in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season. Although his average stands a little over 35 right now, he clearly possesses immense talent. India’s campaign at U19 Asia Cup will begin with the clash against Pakistan on November 30.

Ayush Mhatre earns CSK trial
Ayush has impressed CSK scouts and their former captain, MS Dhoni. This has helped the 17-year-old earn a trial at the CSK High Performance Centre. CSK called Ayush to report for selection trials during this short break. Since Ayush has been included in the Mumbai Cricket Association’s (MCA) list of probables for the SMAT, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has asked MCA’s permission to allow Ayush to attend the trials in Chennai.
