Indian skipper Rohit Sharma spread helmet safety in his own hilarious style during the Day 3 of the IND vs ENG 4th Test in Ranchi on Saturday.
Rohit was not pleased with the young Sarfaraz Khan, who was willing to risk his safety by fielding at silly point without a helmet during the third day of the fourth Test against England in Ranchi.
The incident happened when Kuldeep Yadav was bowling to tailender Shoaib Bashir. Sarfaraz moved to silly point, but did not wear a helmet. The skipper, who was standing at slip, noticed this and asked him to wait for the helmet and not to be a hero.
“Aye, hero nai banne ka”, Rohit Sharma was heard saying on the stump mic.
Ashwin’s 5-fer puts India on top
India are in a commanding position in the Ranchi Test as they reached 40 for no loss in their chase of 192 runs. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal steered the hosts with unbeaten knocks of 23 and 15, respectively.
Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin claimed a five-for and Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets as India bundled out England for 145 runs.
