Australia Cricket all set to set to defy ICC rules, Usman Khawaja set to sport Pro-Palestine emblem in PAK vs AUS 1st Test

Just ahead of the PAK vs AUS 1st Test, Australian Cricket is all set to defy the stringent ICC rules. As per latest reports, Australia’s star opening batter Usman Khawaja is set to sport a Pro-Palestine emblem in the opening match of the Pakistan vs Australia series.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is stringent with its laws. The ICC rules clearly state that no players or team members are allowed to sport emblems or clothes that relate to politics, racial discrimination, and other political issues and concerns in international matches.

However, players can sport the same should they obtain permission from their respective cricket boards. As per the reports from The Sydney Morning Herald Usman Khawaja is preparing to sport his support in the upcoming clash. He plans on wearing shoes that will display the messages “All Lives Are Equal” and “Freedom Is A Human Right”. Interestingly he was spotted wearing similar shoes with the same slogan in the Australia practice session.

Usman Khwaja is one such cricketer who has never been shy to show his support in the Gaza conflict. The Australian batter often takes to social media to post messages and videos of the shocking horrific scenes that have taken place in the Gaza Strip over the years.

Over the months activists in the form of fans have invaded the pitches time and again showcasing their support to particular causes. One such incident took place in the India vs Australia ODI Final when a protester invaded the pitch wearing a “Free Palestine” shirt.
