Earlier, Australia’s fast bowlers delivered compelling spells on Day 3, probing the Pakistani batsmen with their pace. Resuming on 132/2, Australia got rid of night watchman Khurram Shahzad early. However, Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam kept Pakistan ticking with a 51-run stand. However, former Pakistan skipper’s wicket led to collapse with Pakistan losing their last 6 wickets for 90 runs.

Nathan Lyon was the pick of the bowlers’ for the host with a 3-wicket haul. Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc claimed two each, while Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head plucked one wicket each.
