Mitchell Marsh declares himself fit to bowl, Glenn Maxwell backs captain’s batting return

With both Marsh and Maxwell ready to explode, Australia seems well-positioned for a strong showing in the Super Eight stage.

Good news for Australian cricket fans as Mitchell Marsh declares himself fit to bowl in the crucial Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup. This adds another weapon to Australia’s arsenal ahead of their clash against Bangladesh in Antigua.

While Marsh hasn’t bowled since the IPL due to a hamstring injury, his recovery is on track. “I’ll be available to bowl,” he confirmed. “Our current lineup might not necessarily need me, but having options is key in T20 cricket, and we’re fortunate to have plenty.”

Glenn Maxwell backs Mitchell Marsh return

Mitchell Marsh‘s return to bowling is a positive development, but his batting form has also been a talking point. However, teammate Glenn Maxwell believes the captain is due for a big score.

“Mitch is a world-class player, and there’s no doubt he’ll come good with the bat,” said Maxwell. “He’s been hitting well in practice, and I think a big score is just around the corner for him.”

Australia weighing bowling options

Mitchell Marsh’s bowling role will depend on Australia’s bowling strategy. If they choose to field two frontline spinners, Marsh’s seam bowling might be less crucial. However, his bowling could become more important if Australia needs extra pace options.
