According to Cricbuzz, Bangladesh Cricket Board operations chairman Akram Khan confirmed the development on Monday (July 26). Das will be flying back home soon to be with his family. Das missed the last two games of the T20I series against Zimbabwe due to a thigh injury. 

Australia tour of Bangladesh: “Liton is expected to return home soon as he wants to be there for the family member who is sick. He was not available for the opening two T20s and we cannot say anything if someone says that he wants to be with his ailing family members,” Akram told Cricbuzz.

Australia tour of Bangladesh: Das is the 2nd player to opt-out as Mushfiqur Rahim will also miss the upcoming T20I series at home against Australia. As per a report, Rahim failed to start a 10-day mandatory quarantine before joining the bio-secure bubble. The development was confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Veteran Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will also miss the series due to his knee injury. He will be out of the team for at least two months. Soumya Sarkar and Shakib Al Hasan are said to be nursing their respective groin niggles.(BAN vs AUS)

Australia tour of Bangladesh: The five-match T20I series will kick start on August 3 at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Both the teams are expected to arrive in Dhaka on July 29. Both teams will have to go through a three-day room quarantine period at the hotel.
