As mentioned above, Day 1 of the practice match was washed out due to the rain. On Day 2, the local side batted first as they could only post 240 runs before losing all of their 10 wickets in 43.2 overs. Pacer Harshit Rana was star for the Indian side as he scalped four wickets. Apart from him, Akash Deep scalped two wickets while the likes Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.
For Australia PM XI, Sam Konstas was the star performer, scoring a century in just 97 deliveries. For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal (45 runs) and KL Rahul (27 retired) opened the innings while Shubman Gill came out to bat at the number 3 position. Skipper Rohit Sharma came out to bat next but was dismissed cheaply for just 3 runs.
At the time of writing this article, Gill (16* runs) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (3* runs) are at the crease for the visitors.
