Australia Playing XI vs IND: Inglis, Abbott to sit out for IND vs AUS World Cup clash

Australia has received a significant boost with the availability of Marcus Stoinis who has been deemed fit for IND vs AUS clash.

Australia will be eager to their recent series loss revenge when they will take on India in their World Cup opener at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai on October 8. Australia were battling few injuries before the start of the India series but have almost a fully fit squad for the IND vs AUS World Cup clash. With Mitchell Starc fit, Sean Abbott will have to sit out for the first game. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper Josh Inglis will also miss out for Alex Carey.

Australia’s main concern against India at Chepauk would be to tackle host’s quality spinners. Team India are likely to play 3 spinners for the match. However, Australian skipper Pat Cummins has said that they have plans to tackle Indian spinners.

“It (preparation) starts with training for the next few days before the game. The Australian guys play a lot of spin. Our batting order had played a lot in India and done well, so they know most of the (Indian) bowlers and they have a plan (in place).” “We are really confident. We had a good win in the third ODI (in Rajkot), which is probably a bit closest to our strongest XI. We have had pretty good records in ODIs in India,” said Cummons during a promotional event here.
