It’s good to be an Aussie today (April 20), unless you are a bowler. In a match where 22 sixes were hit in the first inning of the DC vs SRH match, Out of all the big hitters in the match, it was Jake Fraser-McGurk who smashed the most sixes (7), as he made the fastest 50 of the IPL 2024 season.
Fascinatingly, it was another Australian whose record he broke. Travis Head had scored a 16-ball fifty earlier in the match. But, for Fraser-McGurk, it was a challenge that he accepted. Chasing 267, the 22-year-old entered after David Warner was dismissed.

He then hit 12 boundaries (5 fours and 7 sixes) and reached the half-century in just 15 balls. His 15-ball fifty is the fastest fifty by a Delhi Capitals player in the history of the IPL and the 3rd fastest IPL fifty of all time.
