Speaking about Carey’s catch, the wicketkeeper was standing up to the stumps to stop Roston Chase from playing out from his crease. Pacer Neser got the ball to land on a length and extracted a hint of away seam movement around off. Chase was aiming to nudge leg-side and closed the bat face a tad too early in the process. The ball hit the bat first, then the back leg of Chase and then onto Carey’s right shoulder and onto his glove. It all happened in the blink of an eye and surely got to be one of Carey’s best efforts behind the stumps in international cricket.
