Khawaja played a patient knock en route to his half-century as Australia slowly recovered from the onslaught unleashed by the Windies. With just six boundaries under his belt, the southpaw has held his nerves so far as Australia trail the visitors by over 100 runs and have just three wickets to spare.
The opener also stitched together a crucial partnership with wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey, who also scored a half-century before being dismissed.
