Good fun: Glenn Maxwell thrilled to score match-winning ton in front of his parents

Maxwell produced a scintillating innings on Sunday, scoring 120 off 55 balls to help Australia reach a huge total of 241.

Glenn Maxwell on Sunday was in the headlines for all the right reasons as the Australian batter smashed his 5th T20I ton to help Aussies gain an unassailable 2-0 lead in the AUS vs WI T20I series. The Aussies batted first in the AUS vs WI 2nd T20I, and Maxwell continued his rich vein of form with another magnificent century off just 50 balls.

Glenn Maxwell has showcased what's about to come for the RCB at the IPL 2024 after smashing his 5th T20I ton against the West Indies.

The batter came in to bat at a time when Australia were 57/2. Maxwell produced a scintillating innings, scoring 120 off 55 balls to help Australia reach a huge total of 241.

In the mid innings break, Maxwell said he was thrilled to bat in such a good wicket at the Adelaide Oval. Maxwell added that the innings was extra special for him with his parents watching on from the stands.

“It was good fun, that’s for sure. Always good batting here, we saw in the Big Bash how good the wickets were during the tournament. The wicket was nice and true. I have always rely on my hand speed, worked for me today. Give myself the best chance always. My parents are here in Adelaide as well. Nice to play a positive knock,” Glenn Maxwell said in the mid innings break.
