West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph had an impressive Test debut as he stunned Australia with a five-wicket haul in the 1st AUS vs WI Test at Adelaide. The Windies shrugged off the inexperience factor to reduce Australia to 283 runs in the 1st innings. Beaming as he walked off the field the ball in hand, Joseph bowed down to the crowd amid a standing ovation from the fans.
AUS vs WI: Stellar Shamar Joseph has dream 5-star debut
The 24-year-old had a dream start to his Test career after getting rid of Australia’s new opener Steve Smith right in his first delivery. And that was the beginning of the five-star assault that Joseph unleashed on the hosts. Marnus Labuschagne and Cameron Green were the next two victims.
Riding high on confidence, Shamar completed the cleanup of the lower order batsmen, getting rid of Starc and Lyon before Kemar Roach uprooted the stumps to send Australia packing.
