AUS vs SL T20 schedule: Sri Lanka vs Australia starts Feb 11- check all details – Cricket Australia has announced a revised schedule for Australia’s upcoming 5-match T20 series against Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to take place in February. The matches will be played across three venues namely, Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Manuka Oval and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

According to the schedule released by Cricket Australia, the 5-match series will be played from 11th to 20th February. The first two T20s will be held at Sydney, the third one will be played at the Manuka Oval, while the last two matches of the series will be played at Melbourne.
The series was initially scheduled to be played at Adelaide and Queensland as well but due to the increase in Covid cases in the country Cricket Australia has rescheduled the venues “to minimise biosecurity risks by reducing travel across the country,” according to a release.
“CA will continue to prioritise the health and safety of all players, match officials, staff, fans, broadcasters and the wider community as we navigate the challenges presented by Covid-19,” said Nick Hockley, CA’s CEO, on Thursday.
For both the teams, this series will serve as a good preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, which is to be held at Australia. While Australia are the defending champions, Sri Lanka is still finding its feet in the tournament. They played the qualifying round during the 2021 T20 World Cup and will have to play the qualifiers once again in the upcoming World Cup.
