Australia to host Pakistan in white-ball series ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Following the AUS vs PAK series, Australia will host India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting November 22

Pakistan will tour Australia for a white-ball series in November this year, marking the beginning of Australia’s white-ball schedule for the 2024-25 summer. The AUS vs PAK series will consist of six games, including three ODIs and three T20Is, played across six venues from November 4 to November 18, 2024. Following the series, Pat Cummins and co will host India in a five-match Test series for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.

This tour comes after an almost 11-month gap since Pakistan’s last visit to Australia for the Benaud-Qadir Trophy, featuring three Test matches held across Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne from December 2023 to January 2024.

The AUS vs PAK ODI series will kick off on November 4 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, followed by matches in Adelaide and Perth on November 8 and 10, respectively. Pakistan’s previous ODI series on Australian soil took place in 2016, resulting in victory for the home side.

Following the ODIs, Pakistan and Australia will compete in the three-match T20I Series. Pakistan’s last T20I appearance in Australia dates back to 2022, when they reached the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The series will commence at The Gabba in Brisbane before shifting to the Sydney Cricket Ground, The tour will conclude in Hobart, where the final T20I will be held on November 18.

  • 8 November: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
  • 10 November: Perth Stadium, Perth

T20I Series

  • 14 November: The Gabba, Brisbane
  • 16 November: SCG, Sydney
  • 18 November: Bellerive Oval, Hobart
