“Has Camron Green got a bunny?” asked Brett Lee on commentary for Fox Cricket when Joe Root nicked Cameron Green’s delivery that went straight into the hands of Steve Smith at first slip.
In response, Mark Waugh said: “I’d get a set of floppy ears and stick them next to his kit bag.”

Has Camron Green got a bunny in Joe Root?
- Cameron Green removed well set Joe Root for 62
- He troubled English skipper narrowly beating him off the edges on consecutive occasions
- He also dismissed Joe Root in the opening Test at Brisbane when the England skipper was looking rock-solid in the 2nd innings
- He has bowled 41 balls to Joe Root in the Ashes 2021 and taken figures of 2-16.
Earlier, Joe Root notched his eighth Test fifty in Australia and stitched a 138-run partnership with Dawid Malan for the third wicket. Starting Day 3 on 2/17, ENgland dominated the first session and frustrated the Aussies returning unbeaten at dinner break.
Resuming Day 3 at 17/2, overnight batters Dawid Malan and Joe Root saw out of the first hour with reasonable ease and they were able to hold off Australia bowlers. The first session also saw Malan going past his fifty-run mark, and along with Root, he ensured that the visitors do not lose any wickets in the first session.
