Asia Cup 2022 Live: Chameera’s injury a body blow for Sri Lanka
- Chameera is the team’s premier fast bowler with a good amount of T20 experience.
- He has played 50 T20Is and picked up 48 wickets at an average of 30.27.
- The 30-year-old’s economy rate is also pretty good giving just eight runs per over.
- Chameera also was in good form in the T20 format as he had good IPL 2022 scalping nine wickets in 12 games for LSG.
- Now, Sri Lanka will have to do without their talismanic player during the Asia Cup.
Sri Lanka recently announced a 20-member squad for Asia Cup with three players as standby. By the looks of it, one of the players will replace Chameera in the main squad.
