Ashwin asked, “What did you think of the game and what was your approach.” To which Rohit replied, “The first-inning lead was certainly important and after losing the toss you have to make sure to bat as long as possible. You don’t want to bat on that pitch in the 4th inning, that was my mindset basically.”
“I tried to go back to my old school thought process. Coming down the track, trying to negate the spin and get to the pitch of the ball.” He added.

Rohit revealed that he was not worrying about the pitch and played his game. Rohit said, “Don’t worry about what the pitch is gonna do, you just go and play the ball, and worry about the rest later.”
Talking about the pitch, Ashwin said that there has been a lot of talk about the pitch in the media, to which Rohit replied that it’s about your ability and not about the pitch. He said, “Its the same pitch, like I said in the changing room that it’s not about the pitch its about your ability- what you can do on that pitch. I don’t know why there is so much talk about the pitch.”
