To dive deeper into Ashutosh’s innings, in his first 20 balls, he could only score 20. And from there on, the next 11 fetched him 46. Overall, he hit five fours and as many sixes to end the match with three balls and a wicket to spare. In short, he just picked up from where he left last year. In the 2024 season, in 11 matches he had scored 189 runs at a strike-rate of 167.

COming to Rishabh Pant and LSG, it is not like the team did not have their chances; but some bad decisions by the skipper came to haunt them at the latter half of the second innings. They were in cruise control for 75% of the match, but then the decision to under-bowl Shardul Thakur, who had bagged two wickets in his first over, is just unpardonable and inexplicable.
