Asha Shobhana’s maiden fifer propels Royal Challengers Bangalore W to victory in WPL 2024

This was Royal Challengers Bangalore their first-ever win on their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

RCB-W All-rounder Asha Shobhana showcased a stellar performance with the ball scalping 3 wickets in an over. With that Asha completed her five-wicket haul as Royal Challengers Women eye win in their WPL 2024 Opener. Asha’s stellar performance alongside Richa Ghosh’s 62 propelled RCB to a 5-run win.

Asha dismissed Vrinda Dinesh, and Tahila Mc Grath in the 8th over, Before dismissing Shweta Sehrawat, Grace Harris and Kiran Navgire all in the 16th over,

In the inaugural WPL 2023, she played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women itself, showcasing her bowling prowess by claiming 5 wickets in as many innings, all while maintaining an economy rate of 8.35.

Her consistent displays underscore her importance as a vital asset for any team she represents. With the capability to make substantial contributions with both bat and ball, she enhances the depth of her team’s lineup.
