Arshdeep Singh credits Jasprit Bumrah for ‘helping him’ take wickets by imbibing pressure

Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets and conceded 37 runs in 4 overs as India picked up a comfortable win over Australia

India cricket team pacer Arshdeep Singh heaped praise on ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah for providing the apt support to pick wickets. Arshdeep was the highest wicket taker in the Super 8 clash against Australia. Speaking at the post-match press conference, the pacer highlighted how Bumrah imbibed the pressure from the batters in order to allow Arshdeep to bowl freely and pick wickets.

‘Credit goes to Jasprit Bumrah’

I guess a lot of credit goes to Jasprit (Bumrah) because he puts a lot of pressure on the batters. He gives what, three or four runs in and over. So, batsmen are coming hard against me and when they are trying, I just have to like try and bowl my best ball and there are a lot of chances of getting wickets,” Arshdeep said.

The pacer revealed that he enjoyed skipper Rohit Sharma’s match-winning knock, adding that his effortless shots was a delight to watch. He hopes that the Hitman can replicate the same knock in the next two games and guide India to the T20 World Cup title.

When asked about facing England in the semi-final, Arshdeep said that there was no expectation from the team and that the conditions will be assessed once they reach Guyana.

Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets and conceded 37 runs in 4 overs as India picked up a comfortable win over Australia. Bumrah, on the other hand, bowled a spell of 1/29 in his four overs.
