Arjun Tendulkar’s stint with Yograj Singh
Sachin Tendulkar had said that his son needed game time after being unable to play for Mumbai Ranji team. In an attempt to revive his son’s career, Sachin Tendulkar decided to let his train under the watchful eyes Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh. Both Yograj Singh and Arjun trained at the DAV College ground in Chandigarh ahead of the new Ranji season. The former India cricketer (Yograj Singh) was instrumental in his son Yuvraj Singh’s success as a cricketer.
The pictures which did rounds on social media saw Yograj overlooking Arjun’s cricket and fitness drills. Yograj Singh’s strictness seemed to have played dividends in the very first match itself. Arjun is still young and has time on his hand to try and play for India in the future. Despite the steady start to his cricket career, the road to international cricket is still very far. The 23-year-old needs to grind in domestic cricket and deliver consistent performances. The way Yograj Singh shaped his son Yuvraj Singh’s career, Sachin Tendulkar will be hoping that Arjun’s career also takes off and he gets to wear the Indian jersey in the future.
