India U19 were chasing a total of 245 runs to win. The young Men in Blue lost crucial three wickets upfront. However, Skipper Uday Saharan played a crucial knock of 81 runs. Sachin Dhas missed out on a well-deserved century by four runs. In the end, IND U19 won the match by 2 wickets.
“Nothing much. I believed in myself. Have to take the game deep. Just wanted one partnership and that will win the game for us. That’s what happened. My Dad used to play like this. Take the game deep, Hit the big shots towards the end and not before that. When I came in, ball was bouncing and cutting,” said Uday Saharan in post-match presentation.
“I had to play cautiously. When the ball became older, the pitch settled in and it became easier for us as we went along. Some short balls were there but we were well set out in the middle. Thank You so much,” he added.
