The incident happened when India bowler Ravi Bishnoi was hit with a ball, while fielding at point. A leg spinner, Bishnoi was later replaced by a pacer, Hemang Patel. And immediately, Kerala veteran Jalaj Saxena went up to the umpires to have a discussion about the same. That made a bit of a difference, as with Patel’s 27, Gujarat moved a little closer to Kerala’s first innings total of 457.

As far as the Gujarat vs Kerala match in Ahmedabad is concerned, the match for now is evenly poised. After Kerala scored 457 in the first innings, Gujarat has so far made 429/7, at the end of four days. While an outright win for either team is out of question, the winner will be decided on the basis of a first innings lead. And Gujarat is only 28 runs behind for now.
For Kerala, Jalaj Saxena shone with the ball, having picked up four wickets till now, while Gujarat saw opener Priyank Panchal score a crafty 148. Aarya Desai also also chipped in with 78, while Jaymeet Patel is still at the crease with 74 not out. Earlier in the match, Kerala’s Mohammed Azharuddeen had gone on to score a massive 177 in 341 deliveries.
