India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah creates history after taking Travis Head’s wicket on Sunday at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) during IND vs AUS 4th Test. In his 44th Test, the star pacer takes his 200th wicket, joining the 200 club. Now, Bumrah has become the first Indian pacer to complete 200 wickets in Test cricket.
Bumrah breaks Kapil Dev’s record
Jassi has broken India’s great Kapil Dev’s record. Earlier, Kapil Dev had the record in his name as the fastest Indian pacer to get 200 wickets. He completed the milestone in his 50th match. Now Bumrah has completed the same in his 44th Test.
Four wickets in the first innings, two in the second
Jasprit Bumrah had a sensational spell in te first innings, claiming 4 wickets for 99 runs in 28.4 overs. His scalps included Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh dismantling Australia’s middle order. Later, he took his fourth wicket from Nathan Lyon. Taking about the second innings, Bumrah made the 19-year-old Sam Konstas the victim after claiming his wicket and completed the 200th Wicket with scalping Travis Head’s wicket.
Bumrah breaks another Kapil Record
Jasprit Bumrah breaks another Kapil Dev record after achieving the record for the most wickets by an Indian pacer in a Test series in Australia with 28 wickets during the 2024/25 series.
