RR vs RCB: Sunil Gavaskar makes bold prediction of Royal Challengers Bengaluru making it a one-sided encounter

IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 is done. And now it is time for the Eliminator. Ahead of the Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru clash, former India star Sunil Gavaskar has made a bold prediction. Gavaskar has claimed that he fears that the RR vs RCB clash can turn out to be another one-sided game.

“Rajasthan, on the other hand, have lost their last four or five matches, and they didn’t play well in their last game. So they’ve been out of practice. Now, unless they do something special like KKR did today, despite not playing for 11 days, it could turn out to be another one-sided game tomorrow. My fear is that it will be another one-sided game where RCB, who are playing just absolutely phenomenal cricket, will walk all over RR,” Sunil Gavaskar told Star Sports.

RR vs RCB clash in IPL Eliminator

The pundits and expects have strongly backed Royal Challengers Bengaluru to win against RR. This mainly owing to two factors. RCB has been in phenomenal form off late. They managed to win 6 out of their last 7 games. On the other hand, RR has seen a downfall.

After starting the campaign on a high, Rajasthan Royals lost all form and have gone on to lose matches on a trot. This has prompted the pundits to side with RCB. Gavaskar went on to claim that there is a big chance that RCB will make it a one-sided encounter.

“What RCB have done in the last 6 games in this IPL, don’t be surprised if they win their first IPL trophy,” said Ricky Ponting.
