Infamous for his short-tempered nature, Shakib Al Hasan found himself in the center of attention once again. The premier Bangladeshi all-rounder recently threatened to beat up a fan who tried to take a selfie with him at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah. The incident occurred before the Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club’s (SJDC) match against Prime Bank Cricket Club in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) 2024 on May 6.
Watch how Shakib lost his cool once again
The confrontation began when Shakib was conversing with coaches Mohammad Salauddin and Sohail Islam. That’s when he was approached by a fan seeking a selfie. However, Shakib did not appreciate this intrusion. The Bangladeshi star tried to snatch the phone away from the fan, making gestures of beating him up. The fan then returned, and Shakib resumed his discussions with the coaches.
The incident with the fan is not the first time Shakib has been involved in a controversy. In the past, he has been criticized for his behavior towards fans and umpires, leading to calls for stricter punishment for such actions.
