SRH, on the other hand, put on a strong batting display, putting up a total of 228/4 on the board. Opener Harry Brook was the star of the show, remaining unbeaten on 100 off just 55 balls.
Brook had his share of luck when he was dropped by Suyash Sharma on 45, giving him the chance to score a century.
Captain Aiden Markram also played a vital role in the team’s batting performance, smashing 50 off just 26 balls. Markram took on the spinners in the middle overs and hit five sixes, allowing Brook to play a supporting role during this period.
For Kolkata Knight Riders, Andre Russell was the pick of the bowlers, picking 3/22 in 2.1 overs. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy was the other wicket-taker for the Men in Purple.
