KKR vs SRH: Andre Russell unleash carnage for Kolkata Knight Riders, slam 20-ball fifty to help KKR cross 200 run mark

Andre Russell has lighted up Eden Gardens with his blistering knock in KKR vs SRH clash. The Caribbean power-hitter went Mad Max Fury to slam a 20-ball half century. Sunrisers Hyderabad remained clueless as the Russell blitzkrieg hit them out of nowhere.

SRH had their grip in the game after bagging some quick opening wickets. After Phil Salt’s fifty, on came Russell and he stitched a wonderful partnership with Rinku Singh.

Kolkata needed a power hitter, they got 3. After Ramandeep’s blistering knock, Russell and Rinku joined the party to help their side cross the 200 run mark, the first time in IPL 2024.

This was Andre Russell’s maiden fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the history of the Indian Premier League. However, previously he has three unbeaten 49 run knocks against SRH.

But today’s things were different. KKR in a desperate need for runs, saw the pure muscle power from Russell. He continued to hit at hammer and tongs as KKR fast-tracked to cross the 200-run mark.

As Kolkata Knight Riders ended their innings with a healthy score of 208/7, Andre Russell remained unbeaten on 64 from just 25 deliveries. Batting with a strike rate of 256, Russell powered his way by slamming 3 fours and 7 gigantic sixes.
