Captain Rohit Sharma also showcased his brilliance with the bat, forming a crucial partnership with his new opening partner Jaiswal and contributing a noteworthy 103 runs off 221 deliveries. The home side, however, struggled to make an impact throughout the game and paid a heavy price for their lackluster batting display.

In addition to Jaiswal and Rohit’s stellar performances, former captain Virat Kohli also made significant contributions, scoring a solid 76 runs off 182 balls. As the first Test concluded, all eyes are now set on the upcoming second Test, scheduled to commence on July 20th at the prestigious Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago.
