We have a major update coming in from the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). As per reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released three Indian pacers from the BGT squad. Well, all three of Mukesh Kumar, Yash Dayal, and Navdeep Saini, part of the travelling reserves, are set to fly to India in order to participate in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT).

Mukesh, Dayal, Navdeep to play Vijay Hazare Trophy

According to the Times of India, this troika of fast bowlers will be sent for the Vijay Hazare Trophy in order to keep track of their match practice. Notably, Yash Dayal is known to be already in his hometown in order to prepare for India’s premier domestic 50-over tournament. In other news, Mohammed Shami, who was touted to be included in BGT, is now also part of Bengal’s squad, diminishing his chances to feature in Australia.

All three of Mukesh, Dayal and Saini have been part of the BGT right from the start. Mukesh played both the unofficial Test for India A against Australia A and did well. The right arm pacer ended up as the highest wicket-taker, taking 11 scalps at 16.18. Meanwhile, Saini only played the first practice game. As for Yash Dayal, he was drafted in as the replacement of Khaleel Ahmed. While Dayal will feature for Uttar Pradesh, Mukesh and Saini will ply trade for Bengal and Delhi, respectively at thr Vijay Hazare Trophy.
