Ambati Rayudu has stepped onto the pitch of politics. He joined the ruling YSRCP party in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. Rayudu joined the party in the presence of Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He reached the chief minister’s residence in Vijayawada. Later on, his photos and videos came out in which he was wearing the party’s scarf.
Rayudu said he was inspired by the leadership and vision of Jaganmohan Reddy. He said he wanted to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh under his guidance. “I have always admired Jaganmohan Reddy for his honesty and commitment towards the welfare of the people. I have decided to join his party to contribute to the development of the state in whatever way I can,” Rayudu said.
Ambati Rayudu, who played for MS Dhoni-led CSK in the Indian Premier League announced his retirement after the franchise won the trophy in 2023. Afte retirement, Rayudu announced that he would join politics and toured his home state Andhra Pradesh to understand the issues confronting the people.
“I shall soon enter politics in Andhra Pradesh to serve the people. Before that, I decided to visit different parts of the district to know the people’s pulse and understand their problems. I shall come out with a concrete action plan on how to go about in politics and which platform I would choose,” he had added.
