The bonding between Shashank Singh and Suryakumar Yadav has been ongoing for the last decade. The PBKS batter went on to reveal how SKY has always supported him over the years. Shashank claimed how SKY spoke highly about him and referred his name to the IPL teams and the scouts.
“With Surya it has been about 10-12 years. He always backs me up. Back in 2015, I was dropped from the side because I got a hamstring tear. And Surya was the first one where he mentioned on Twitter ‘Tough luck, don’t worry’. Back then he wasn’t this big a star, he was playing for KKR then. He praised me highly to the other franchise owners and scouts as well,” Shashank Singh told InsideSport.
“I know, because I have seen him talking about me. It is something very close to my heart. Our bond is very special. He is the number 1 star now in white ball circuit and when we catch up, we sit together, we reflect back on the 10 year old memories,” Shashank concluded.
