Focus on Drop-In pitches for Team India

Cantiague Park, located over five miles from the Nassau County Stadium where India will play key matches, serves as the official training facility designated by the ICC.

Notably, these facilities feature “drop-in” pitches, a unique element the team is acclimating to. The Indian contingent had access to three such pitches, with two dedicated for batting practice and a third reserved for bowlers.

No Virat Kohli for Team India

The session saw all Team India players except Virat Kohli, who is expected to arrive shortly, actively participating.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill kickstarted the batting drills, followed by the rest of the team’s batting lineup.

Notable players like Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja showcased their batting prowess as per Cricbuzz.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh take it easy

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, and Yuzvendra Chahal, who recently joined the team after a long flight, were advised to take it easy during this session.

However, all four players were present at the park and will participate in the next net session scheduled for Friday.

Pleasant conditions facilitate India net practice

Despite concerns about rain in nearby areas, the weather at Cantiague Park remained conducive for cricket. With pleasant temperatures around 18 degrees Celsius, the session proceeded smoothly.

India Cricket Team avoiding Manhattan mayhem

To optimize travel time and avoid traffic congestion, the Indian team has opted to stay in Long Island instead of Manhattan throughout their stay in New York. This strategic decision ensures smoother logistics as they prepare for the T20 World Cup challenge ahead.
