The former India opener also highlighted the challenges that the young batter-keeper may encounter when he returns to play competitive cricket after 14 months.

The excitement regarding Rishabh Pant’s return to competitive cricket after 14 months is increasing day by day. Pant will make his return to cricket with IPL 2024 where he will lead the Delhi Capitals. Pant has been absent from cricket since December 2022 and the southpaw’s return has got many cricketing fans excited. Former Indian batter Aakash Chopra is one such person.

Chopra is excited to see the southpaw in action once again after a long gap. However, he also highlighted the challenges that the IPL’s wicket-keeping hitter may encounter when he returns to play competitive cricket.

Rishabh Pant suffered a horrific car accident in December 2022 and has since been out of action. He has been cleared by the National Cricket Academy a few days ago and is all set to make his comeback in IPL 2024 for Delhi Capitals. Aakash Chopra shared his excitement at the prospect of seeing Rishabh Pant in action once again in his latest YouTube video.

“Opportunities are absolutely plenty. Our emotional quotient has gone very high for Rishabh Pant. We are all waiting for Rishabh Pant to come, hit and shine. Everyone has even started talking about the T20 World Cup, that he will reach there if he scores runs,” Chopra said in his video.
